I’m Jamie, the owner and creator behind Wilderland Floral. And for all the nerds in the group, yes my business name is inspired by Wilderland from Tolkien. I’ve been in the floral industry for 10+ years and continued to pursue my floral education by working with some of the greats including Francoise Weeks and Susan McLeary as well as many others.
I believe every wedding or event should be as unique (and wild) as the couple its for. I am a solo-prenuer meaning I’m with you every step of the way. I’ll be the one who brainstorms with you to curate the perfect vision for your day, I handcraft your arrangements, bouquets, boutonnières and every element that goes into creating your vision. I’ll be there the day of, placing every centerpiece, and hand delivering your bouquet.
I started my floral career as a high school student working at a local family owned flower shop scrubbing buckets and making just enough to pay for gas money. It was at this local shop that I would discover a lifelong passion for creating.
Working at additional shops around Minnesota and Wisconsin I learned the tricks of the trade, even competing and winning first place in the Milwaukee Art Museum’s Iron Designer competition as well as taking home first place people’s choice award for three consecutive days for my art inspired floral creation at Art in Bloom.
If I’m not designing you can find me hiking through the woods, kayaking, playing disc golf, or telling my husband Luke to pull over the car so I can pick up the perfect branch that will complete an arrangement.
My goal is to personally connect with my couples, to build a relationship of trust, and create one of a kind designs that represent them. Let’s adventure together and create something wild!
